From an AR activation in Times Square to our CEO & Founder Josie Bellini captivating sold-out crowds with talks on the future of digital art, AI, and web3 gaming, this year’s NFT NYC and Consensus conferences were ones for the books.
The Highlights
Here are all the details on how we lit NYC and Austin up👇
NFT NYC kicked off with a bang as we unleashed our killer billboard activation in the heart of Times Square. Huge thanks to NFT NYC for featuring CyberBrokers and the art of our CEO and Founder Josie Bellini.
The CyberBrokers team wasn’t the only crew on the scene that night. Mona brought their A-game with an epic AR activation, and every scan of the QR code on our billboard brought our Genesis Mechs Mecha Kong and Alatyr to life. If you missed out on Mecha Kong and Alatyr at the Big Apple, you can check out the AR filter for yourself here.
Our Metaverse Mixer was a blast, with cool tunes and even cooler people making it the place to be to connect and network. Plus, our open bar was the perfect touch to kick off everyone's night out😏
Special thanks to @VectorMeldrew who brought the Javits Center to life with a mind-blowing live audio and visual DJ performance. Check out a highlight reel of the performance here 🎶
This whole event would not have been possible if not for the shared vision between Mona and CyberBrokers. That same afternoon, Justin Melillo, Co-Founder and CEO of Mona, was joined by CyberBrokers’ Brianna Woodward, and Mike Kabot for a panel on “Bringing the Metaverse to Life: The Intersection of Virtual Worlds and NFTs”, moderated by Mona’s Ty Luna.
We were pumped to chat about how we teamed up to bring Genesis Mechs to life as 3D avatars in Mona's virtual world. Both Mona and CyberBrokers are all about empowering our users to take the reins and make web3 their personal playground, and our shared mission of an open metaverse of creativity, customization, and community made for a perfect partnership.
Didn't make it to NFT NYC? Check out the highlight reel of our time there on YouTube. And if you're still craving some Mech madness, head over to Mona's website where our Genesis Mech Showroom is now live. Test drive any (or all!) of our 50 Mechs and see which Style suits you best.
We weren't gonna let anyone leave NFT NYC empty-handed. We hooked the 150 Metaverse Mixer attendees up with their very own NFC-chipped shirts. But this wasn’t any ordinary merch drop. Simply scan the patch on your shirt’s sleeve with your phone’s camera to trigger an email link. From there, you'll be able to claim your exclusive CyberBrokers x Mona shirt as an NFT.
After NFT NYC, CyberBrokers headed down to Austin, Texas where our CEO and Founder Josie Bellini was a guest speaker on multiple panels about the future of the crypto and NFT space.
Josie was a panelist on Kevin Rose’s 100PROOF “Metaverse Roundtable” podcast, also featuring guest speakers Derek Edwards of Collab+Currency, Justin Melillo of Mona, and Erick Calderon from Art Blocks. Josie shared her insights on the future of the Internet and how virtual worlds like Mona, fueled by human connection, are leading the way. She discussed CyberBrokers' partnership with Mona, highlighting how their platform helps enable virtual connections for the CyberBrokers web3 community. Josie also gave a shout-out to our very own Genesis Mech Showroom, a unique world in Mona where visitors can test all 50 of our Genesis Mechs' cutting-edge Styles. You can check out the full podcast here.
On a panel about AI and its impact on creators, Josie also delved into one of the most pressing questions in the NFT industry: will AI be used as a tool in art creation, or will it eventually replace human creators altogether? She acknowledged the need for regulations to protect artists, but ultimately expressed optimism, seeing AI as a powerful force that will empower content creators, like those within the CyberBrokers community. You can check out the full video of Josie’s talk on Artificial Intelligence and the Creator's Dilemma here
Josie also sat down with Sam Ewen, for a 1-on-1 chat about her experience being one of the earliest artists in the crypto art and NFT movements. She discussed how her early experiences inspired CyberBrokers and the project's pursuit of new models for gamification and community building. If you are a Consensus ticket holder, you can access the full talk here.
